What is NFT?

An NFT (Non-fungible token) is a blockchain-based cryptographic asset with unique identification codes and metadata. They can be entirely digital or tokenized versions of real-world assets, such as graphic artwork, music, photography, avatars, etc. The non-fungible nature of NFTs makes them sought-after collectibles, as they are not interchangeable with another asset of like kind.

How does it work?

  • Most NFTs reside on the Ethereum blockchain, a distributed public ledger that records transactions.

  • NFTs are individual tokens with valuable information stored in them.

  • Because they hold a value primarily set by the market and demand, they can be bought and sold just like other physical types of art.

  • NFTs' unique data makes it easy to verify and validate their ownership and the transfer of tokens between owners.

Inject your first NFT on UTGL

1. Navigate to 'Digital Custody' under 'OFFSHORE CUSTODIAN'.

2. Locate 'Your Asset' and switch the toggle to 'NFT'.

3. Scan the QR code or copy and paste the deposit address to your wallet to transfer the NFT.

*Note

  • Only NFT under ERC 20 network should be injected to this address. Injecting other digital assets may result in the loss of your deposit.

  • Please note that your injection address may change from time to time, do not use it as your wallet address. Once your asset is successfully injected, it might be moved to other addresses (es) within our custodial storage.

  • For future injections, you can always click on the '+ Inject NFT' on top of the NFT list.

FAQ

Why didn't I see my injected NFT in my account?

There are a few possible reasons you may experience a failure or delay in injecting your NFT to your UTGL account:

1. The deposit address you entered in the wallet is incorrect or invalid.

2. The NFT injection transaction is still under processing.

For more information regarding the transfer process related to digital assets, please see Processing Time and Status Tracking for Digital Assets.
